Equestrian statue of Nathanael Greene at Guilford Courhouse National Military Park, Greensboro, NC. The events that were featured in the Revolutionary War Battles of Alamance and Guilford counties were all a prelude to the Battle of Guilford Courhouse which occurred on March 15, 1781, where Nathanael Greene faced his nemesis, Lord Cornwallis.  The Battle of Lindley's Mill occurred some months later, after Cornwallis was defeated at Yorktown and Greene's army had returned to South Carolina.
